Spread 3 of the short booklet entitled "LONG LIVE THE DONG" (pictures of the booklet will be uploaded in Scraps): Boxer and his trainer...good friends? (Bonus if you get the Futurama reference, lol)

A project exploring the visual language of sexualized male figures. In other words, men are rarely objectified in a way I'd like to see, and at best the frequency of those types of images is grossly lacking in comparison to images of sexualized women. I think all of deviantArt is a good example of this (protip: enter "nude" in the search field and you'll get what I mean).

It's a feminist art project and totally legitimate; I swear! Here, enjoy some pictures of sexy men (for a change).

-------------

Ink, colored pencils, felt pens, and watercolors all compiled in Photoshop (I think of them as analog layers!) with some minimal digital effects.

I was gonna say the boxer looked a lil like the demo man + one eye, but yeah got the reference.

Warning: Should not be taken with water or seriously.
agree totally with what you said about the rarity of images that depict 'sexualized' men.

awesome image :D
REally excellent foreshortening on the leg there. Great angle, and I love the tones of the skin

Got original characters?
If you're not watching scraps, you're missing most of the action!
wow, this is really incredible. it looks almost like you used crayon or soemthing on the boxing gloves, shoes, and bloody bits, which if you did that totally looks fucking sweet. anyway, its awesome!
Really like their posture and the whole flow of it. I like how you coloured a little outside of the lines too.
I thank you oh so much for doing this

I really really dig your scruffy looking lines. This is a most excellent illustration. Also, those are some beautifully drawn shoes.
Boom. You hit me right in the face with this illustration. Killer angle, killer colours, nice characters and hella cool typography
This is so awesome. I always thought boxers were pretty hot. I'm glad you're drawing actual men for this, and not what usually passes for men here on devart.

Great series.
